Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed due diligence on intellectual property assets to assess the validity, scope, and enforceability of IP rights in connection with transactions.
Audit, analyse, assess the intellectual property portfolios.
Review and draft IP-related agreements, including licenses, assignments, and various transactional agreements/documents.
Review and edit IP related clauses in corporate transactional agreements (Share Purchase of Agreements, Sale Purchase Agreement, Asset Sale Agreements etc.)
Draft memo and presentations on one’s findings and research conclusions.
Support in the development of IP portfolio optimization, including identifying opportunities for monetization and risk mitigation.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues by providing high-quality, responsive, and proactive legal services
Qualifications
Qualified as a solicitor/attorney from accredited law school with bar qualification
Must be actively licensed attorney.
Minimum 5 years experience practicing intellectual property law with experience managing complex intellectual property matters
Expertise in trade mark, copyright, domain names
Expertise in patent is a plus
Experience in providing legal advice in complex business transactions
Proven experience in drafting and negotiating IP agreements
