We are looking for a strong commercial lawyer to take on the role of Tean Lead Lawyer (India). As well as supporting our multi-sector clients, , including global household name brands, to review, draft, negotiate and complete their commercial contracts, you will also line manage a other LOD Managed Teams lawyers in the region. You will work closely with the existing global managed team lawyer pool and delivery mangers based in South Africa and the United Kingdom.
You will have management experience, specifically managing lawyers providing commercial legal support to multiple clients. As a practicing lawyer yourself, you will be skilled at contract review in a fast paced environment and will have excellent drafting and communication skills in order to provide practical, in-house focused advice for our clients and guidance for your team. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills as you will be client and client counterparty facing.

Responsibilities
Managing a team of legal professionals (paralegals and lawyers), initially this will involve onboarding
Overseeing allocation of incoming work to optimise utilisation of the team
Undertaking contract review work as well as supporting your team on more complex matters
Ensuring that matters are turned around in a timely manner so key performance indicators and service level agreements are met
Ensuring client-facing data and reporting is kept up to date
Guaranteeing know-how is captured and knowledge of the team is kept up to date
Recognising points for improvement within processes and systems and putting in place
plans to improve things (on both internal and client processes).

Qualifications
Legally qualified
Contract review (with experience of reviewing commercial contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, SaaS agreements, technology agreements, NDAs and other common commercial agreements, under UK/ US jurisdiction) and management experience.
7+ years’ post qualified experience with the majority of that experience being undertaken within industry.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills in MS Office application.
