Job Description:
His/her main contribution and accountabilities will be:
Oversee all regulatory and governance matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations in India.
Support and manage the legal and regulatory topics for India as required and to support the Head of Legal from time to time.
Drafting, Reviewing, Vetting & Rendering advice and directing on legal issues involving contracts, including documentations in terms of Sale Deeds, MOU, NDAs, Lease and Licensing arrangements.
Supervises the implementation of Air Liquide's corporate governance in the affiliates and subsidiaries in India
Supports the Head of Legal on transactional matters including, but not limited to, contract review, projects processes, research, document preparation, and analysis.
Communications, notice preparation with Advocates & taking feedback regarding the ongoing cases.
Reviewing and preparing general correspondence, notices, letters etc.
Providing support to other in house departments on various regulatory compliance and with government authorities.
Preparing MIS of ongoing Cases and Agreements.
Assist in review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
Advisory to various business lines / departments of the Company on various legal issues.
Assist the Reporting Manager in various legal advisory work as may be assigned.
Must be willing to travel as per business needs.
Required Qualifications And Competencies
Candidate Qualifications/Experience:
Qualified as a lawyer in India with at 03 to 09 years of legal experience(either as in-house counsel or as a lawyer in a law firm);
Ability to communicate and articulate legal issues effectively with colleagues at all levels and across different jurisdictions;
Strong drafting and legal analytical skills;
Ability to prioritize and proactively manage workflow in a multi-jurisdictional transaction environment;
Ability to timely and appropriately identify risks and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders;
Ability to manage and control legal risks in a constructive manner.
