What You'll Bring
Bachelors of Laws (LL.B) or Bachelor of Law (B.L) degree with 3 to 6 years of experience as an attorney, preferably with a background in technology transactions and comfortable with interpreting, negotiating, redlining, and drafting complex contracts and related documents
A background in the information technology space and / or in-house counsel experience
Experience supporting vendor/procurement contracting, inclusive of negotiating commercial and legal terms in IT, Facilities, Marketing, HR, and other professional services and commodity contracts
Knowledge and understanding of global data privacy laws and regulations
Experience with contracts lifecycle management (CLM) and procure to pay (P2P) software suites
Strong work ethic with the demonstrated ability to manage and turn-around a significant and diverse work flow in an effective and timely manner
Creative problem-solving ability with a focus on achieving client-friendly solutions while managing company risk
Solid commercial judgment, including the ability to anticipate, analyze, and make recommendations
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task by prioritizing and tracking multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and coordinating multiple internal and third party resources
Impact You'll Make
Interface directly with vendors on calls or in person while leading the contract review and negotiation process in conjunction with the Procurement organization and business, technical, operational, financial, management and compliance stakeholders
Liaise with internal legal specialists to ensure applicability and sufficiency of existing practices and contract terms (e.g. Privacy, Employment, Compliance, HR, InfoSec etc.)
Provide guidance when business or legal issues occur during the course of existing contract relationship
Make impactful legal decisions and make business recommendations for an innovative, dynamic, public company that is a leader in the global marketplace
Identify and implement improvements to drive efficiencies of contract review and vendor management processes
Perform industry research on legal matters related to contracts with vendors
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
