The Team

You will join the Market Intelligence Public Ownership Data Stewards Team, which supports the Commercial, Product Management, Data Operations, Data Management, and Technology divisions to elevate the organization's ability to deliver outstanding content and ensure superior customer experiences. As subject matter experts, these Data Stewards specialize in providing clients with functional business and data analysis services. They leverage technological advancements to improve content or data management and delivery capabilities. Additionally, this team may extend support to other functional teams, including internal Compliance & Control teams, by conducting data research and analysis for regulators and other internal business stakeholders worldwide.

The Impact

As the Lead Data Steward, your role encompasses contributing to the creation of innovative solutions tailored to meet the requirements of Public Ownership clients. You will also aid in the development and integration of domain-specific systems, processes, policies, and data into overarching strategic frameworks. Additionally, you will participate in establishing new data coverage requirements, workflows, and implementation strategies. Moreover, you will be instrumental in enriching the organization's repository of Best Practices by leveraging insights derived from project experiences across various content domains.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with Data Stewards in other domains to facilitate and execute projects efficiently, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule while maintaining clear communication and transparency regarding status, domain health, and roadmaps.

Ensure the delivery of Ownership data aligns with specific quality and timeliness Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), comprehensive data coverage, and agreed-upon policies and procedures, with active engagement in client support.

Partner with project teams to strategize and implement process and operational improvements across Business Lines, participating in user story development, release testing, and workflow enhancements.

Lead conversation in analyzing data acquisition from third-party vendors and collaborate with the CARM team

Lead the development and upkeep of business procedures, as well as internal and external client documentation, while taking charge of project implementation strategies and facilitating stakeholder communications.

Forge close partnerships with Data Operations teams across designated business regions to optimize workflow systems, with a keen focus on elevating data quality and ensuring timeliness.

Possessing a comprehensive deep understanding of the dataset and its dependencies with other datasets, downstream workflows, and application adherence to guidelines and policies is highly advantageous.

Co-create new logic and methodology guidelines in partnership with the Data Operations team.

Offer advanced data and operations support for various research initiatives within the Public Ownership Data Steward group.

Collaborate with the Data Operations and Technology teams to effectively manage and resolve intricate client data inquiries of various products in S&P Global.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of the data presented on CIQ, CIQ Pro, and XpressFeed platforms, including the factors contributing to differences in data across these platforms.

Basic Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

Graduation and Post-Graduation in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of Investment Management / Investment Banking / Capital Markets workflows

Experience collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve data issues while demonstrating strong customer service and interactive interpersonal skills

Comprehensive understanding of Public Ownership Content and its dependent datasets

Technical skills in SQL, Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Understanding of SAFe Agile and LEAN practices

Motivated, self-starting, willing to take risks and challenge conversations.

Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-pressure environment

Preferred Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Financial Industry\ Market Data, especially Public Ownership and/or Public Ownership Fixed Income data is a plus

Ability to understand and be proficient in the lifecycle of data from data collection to pipelines to the front end and processes along the way

Possess the ability to work within a group, build consensus, and collect and interpret stakeholder feedback
