What you'll do
Write and design digital experiences using New Relic voice and style. You’ll focus on the words in our software interfaces, CLIs, APIs, and other human/machine interactions.
Think strategically. We cover a lot of ground. You'll identify and communicate opportunities to use content in new ways to make a difference for users and the business.
Advocate for language that supports and aligns with our content goals within new features and across the platform.
Effectively lead discussions and creative activities with team members and partners. Keep our users first in every experience.
You'll center on our users’ needs and advocate for them in every conversation.
Be an active advocate for consistency across the platform; develop content in US English
Be kind and fun.
This role requires
Writing skills that wow us. You care equally about content, tone, and accuracy. Your words evoke emotion and you have plenty of experience with UI micro-copy and conversation design.
Experience with UX (as a designer or by working closely with them). You are deeply familiar with designing digital interfaces and think in patterns and systems.
Deep knowledge of our industry. You're comfortable moving quickly in the land of SaaS, modern software architectures, APIs, and performance monitoring.
The technology you work on is fascinating to you, and you love learning about the technical underpinnings of the products you work on. You seek input in order to learn, grow, serve users, and benefit the business.
Service-oriented collaboration. You work well with our designers, engineers, researchers, product managers, and fellow writers. You thrive on exploring, experimenting, and partnering with specialists.
Bonus points if you have
Knowledge of the observability industry or SRE practices, and familiarity with the tools like Kubernetes or AWS used to build modern platforms.
Experience with Jira and agile software development.
A strong opinion about the Oxford comma.
