Hemkunt Foundation is a non-government organization that aims to provide welfare through humanitarian aid, healthcare support, education and livelihood to marginalized and underprivileged section of society. The year 2021 marked a milestone for our more than 12 ongoing projects, having positively impacted 60 lakh lives with over 500 volunteers especially for COVID-19 relief.
Position Summary
By 2030, Hemkunt Foundation embarks on a bold vision – of establishing three world class skill training centres for generating livelihoods, inculcating healthy and hygienic practices in lives of 10,000 adolescent girls and women, provide immediate relief aid during disasters and pandemics, and grow our community of young volunteers, subject matter experts, donors, professionals and other stakeholders to affect change.
The Fundraising team will help secure these resources and build partnerships that go beyond providing only financial support to accelerate this growth. The Fundraising Manger, will enable this by building the funding base in order to support Hemkunt Foundation’s ambitious goals. This will include working with internal stakeholders such as program Directors, Vertical Heads and Board members to support fundraising for the Organisation. S/he will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with key donors and their Organizations and also build new advocates for our work.
Team Overview
The goal of the Fundraising team at Hemkunt Foundation is to build lifelong champions of the cause and to acquire financial support to provide humanitarian aid to marginalized sections of society.
Fundraising is one of the backbones of the Organization, as it is completely dependent on donations in its current form. As we move into the next year, we are looking at expanding our team and streamlining our operations leading to greater efficiency. The fundraising team will cultivate and deepen partnerships that support the financial and non-financial organisational goals. The Fundraising team raises funds from various sources- Corporate CSR will continue to be in focus for the immediate and medium-term. We will also cultivate High Net Worth Individuals (HNI) as medium term priorities.

Responsibilities
Raise funds by building new champions and deeply engaging the current pool of donors. Along with the team, the fundraising manager will hold fundraising goal which will include renewal and acquisition goal.
New donors: Work on the leads provided by the internal network of the organisation. Also, work towards tapping into various networks to increase the base of new donors.
Existing relationships: Build deeper partnerships with our donors. The fundraising manager will do this by building a high performing, motivated team that operates with impact, inclusiveness, strong relationships, learning and passion.
Working at the Founder's/Directors's table: This person will work closely with the Directors of the organisation to ensure that the donor relationships are being engaged through Senior Level Team involvement. Involvement in campaign innovation and implementation strategy.
Team management: Fundraising Manager will have 2-3 Associate team members to work with.
Process and Operations:
Fundraising Manager and his/ her team to follow processes including keeping all proposals and documents up to date at a central location.
Record all donor engagement and leads on our online Customer relationship management system.
Weekly check-ins to ensure that the funding cycle is being rigorously followed, support queries on day-to-day operations.
Work with the multiple stakeholders to ensure all reports are sent to donors in a complete and timely fashion.
Work with multiple stakeholders:
Work with the Communications team to ensure all marketing collateral are up to date and effective.
Work with the cross functional teams to ensure that the Fundraising team is abreast of the latest updates that could be relevant to donor conversations.
Maintain a culture of openness and collaboration within the team.
Minimum Qualification, Skills, Competencies
Communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong in the people quadrant with the ability to work with various people.
Entrepreneurial attitude, working independently while also being a team player.
Strong organizational skills, project management and must be detail oriented.
Commitment to excellence and accuracy, with an ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Strong time management skills and ability to remain flexible in order to accommodate multiple projects simultaneously, with tight deadlines.
Strong work ethic.
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in client facing roles.
Sectoral exposure to corporates/ worked in healthcare with experience in fundraising preferred.
Graduate/Post graduate.
