As part of the Global Litigation and Investigations Team within the General Counsel’s organization of Amex, the Legal Operations Specialist will provide dedicated support for the processing of third-party legal orders. Duties may include the following:
Open legal matters in case management system and route to correct workstream.
Assess the validity of the legal request.
Prepare correspondence to an issuer of the legal request.
Evaluate legal requests to determine the scope of the request.
Research internal platforms for accounts and identify documents responsive to legal requests.
Retrieve documents from internal platforms.
Prepare fulfillment packages in compliance with applicable country privacy laws and Amex procedures.
Perform other work-related duties as required.

Preferred Skills
Graduates (in any subject) with 0-1 years of experience.
Graduates (in law/ related subjects), or experience as a legal assistant in a legal office or in house legal department strongly preferred.
Experience in processing subpoenas / legal orders strongly preferred.
Articulate and fluent (verbal and written) in English.
Sense of urgency, ability to discern critical matters and to meet deadlines.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Able to work independently and a team player.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail, able to analyze and problem solve.
Able to quickly train on, navigate, and extract information from a variety of databases and information platforms.
Able to work productively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
