Legal Associate Legal Associate with verification

We’re adding a Legal Associate to our Global Litigation team to support all areas of the claim’s litigation management process, including data entry of litigation records, issuing litigation hold notices, management of discovery procedures and deadlines, the monitoring of case files and schedules, preparing litigation reports and the escalation of issues requiring lawyer involvement.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

Recording litigation involving AXA XL on our claims systems and LawTrac, including interaction with Claims Handlers to obtain necessary information for this task.

Issuing litigation holds using LawTrac.

Preparing regular dispute reports for Litigation teams or individual lawyers.

Supporting E-Discovery coordination between claims handlers, IT, and external counsel.

Review monthly Leaver's Reports to identify custodians who need to be subject to a litigation hold.

Assisting with the preparation of monthly litigation reports, including “litigation dashboards” highlighting litigation counts by legal entity, line of business or jurisdiction.

Providing data entry support for the half-yearly E&O insurance reporting process.

Supporting other internal reporting and record keeping.

Attending regular team meetings in European time zones.

Assisting with other business-as-usual tasks presented by the Litigation team.

You will report to the Head of Litigation APAC Europe.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills And Abilities

Degree level qualification in Law or equivalent.

We are looking for someone having relevant years of experience as a Legal Associate.

Excellent written and collaborative communication.

Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Desired Skills And Abilities

Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (in particular Excel) and business-related software systems such as Adobe.

An ability to work self-directly and on own initiative whilst being part of a wider team.

Ability to prioritize conflicting needs and progress matters expeditiously, and proactively and follow through on projects to successful completion.

A proactive approach to problem-solving with good decision-making capability.
