Introduction on the role:
Crocs, is a worldwide popular manufacturer of fun, colorful shoes. We are looking for a candidate with good legal acumen and knowledge. The candidate should be able to provide strategic legal advice and guidance to the organization on all legal matters including but not limited to contracts, agreements, litigation, and regulatory compliance.
What will you do?
Provide advice on general leg a l function matters including corporate governance, sales, retail, e- commerce, marketing, social media, commercial contracts, employment law and product liability for Crocs business in India.
Stay abreast of research and advis e management on statutory/regulatory issues/laws with potential commercial and legal implications.
Conduct internal compliance work related to data protection, safety, leg a l metrology, amongst others.
Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of leg a l , commercial and corporate documents and contracts including but not limited to Master Service Agreements, NDA, MOU, LOI, Sale and Purchase Agreements, Marketing Agreements etc.
Drafting and vetting of pleadings for various leg a l proceedings, drafting and issuance of leg a l notices.
Manage and coordinate with external counsel on litigation and other matters as and when required .
Preparation and filing leg a l documents, maintaining case files, repository of leg a l Contracts/Agreements.
Review and advise on the company’s rights and liabilities under existing commercial and corporate agreements.
Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of leg a l issues.
Provide value-added leg a l advice to help manage and mitigate the risk and liability of our India business.
Who are you?
A law degree from an accredited and well reputed institution and an experience between 2-3 years in legal domain preferably a mix of both Corporate as an in-house counsel for a multinational organization in retail or FMCG industry as well as law firm experience.
Good knowledge and experience in commercial law and contract negotiations.
Commercially-savvy and have a practical approach to the practice of law.
Strong analytical and drafting skills, an eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient in English.
Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, establish priorities and solve problems.
Ability to deliver results with cross-functional teams.
Good team player and ability to work with senior management team as well as peers.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
