Job Description
Reporting to the CEO in India, you will be responsible for:
Legal:
Drafting, negotiation and finalization of complex business and commercial contracts such as NDAs, ELs, MSAs, vendor agreements, service contracts, procurement contracts, purchase agreements, EPC contracts, land lease agreements, debenture issue documentation etc
Work with 3rd party consultants to file necessary applications to meet statutory requirements
Advise business stakeholders on contract terms with a view to protect long term interests of the company
Take commercial objectives and translate them into robust contractual documentation
Responsibility to guide, anticipate and manage the legal risks connected with the overall business strategy and operations of the organization
Providing legal support and advice on operational issues for the business
Implementation of policies and advising on regulatory issues concerning the business
Should be abreast with the latest legal and regulatory developments in the electric mobility sector
Compliance:
Ability to liaison well with external stakeholders including service providers across all geographies
Strong legal and business acumen, having transaction oriented mindset
Result orientation and ability to take ownership of multiple workstreams
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a small but growing team in a start-up style / dynamic environment
An understanding of the electric mobility eco-system in India, prior experience of working with leasing contracts and indirect tax implications would be advantageous although not essential
The Successful Applicant
Ideally you are a lawyer with 8+ years of experience with experience in EV or Automotive Manufacturing. Experience in dealing with complex contracts and leasing as well. Diversity candidates preferred.
