Job Summary
Cognizant seeks to recruit a senior Privacy Counsel to support the continued growth of its global business and operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced privacy lawyer to help drive the development management and implementation of the companys privacy program in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Experience : 10 to 15 Years
Roles & Responsibilities
Liaise with key stakeholders on global privacy projects.
Monitor privacy data and cybersecurity developments to assess impact to Cognizant.
Develop training materials templates and playbooks to support the implementation of our Global Privacy Program.
Respond to customer privacy questionnaires and audits.
Support the commercial legal team with complex negotiations of customer and vendor contracts.
Support innovation and new business opportunities by analysing privacy implications of new products and services and provide guidance on minimising privacy compliance risk.
Conduct privacy impact and risk assessments including transfer risk assessments.
Qualifications And Skills
Law Degree or equivalent.
Fluent in English both verbally and in writing other language skills are desirable.
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of our organisation.
Commercial mind-set and ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Self-starter and able to work independently.
Experience operating within an international environment with a diversity of cultures.
Strong analytical problem solving and project management skills.
Ability to take judgement calls in complex projects requiring a pragmatic and risk-based approach.
Job Location : PAN India
Certification(s) Required
The candidate will be a qualified lawyer with at least 6 years post-qualification experience in private practice or as in-house counsel.
Certification from International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) on CIPM or CIPP is added advantage.
