What do we expect?
Trade Compliance Expert: Proficient in various trade compliance tasks, including Country of Origin (COO) assignment, AEO application and execution, and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) analysis and claims.
Global Trade Intelligence: Continuously monitor and research international laws and regulations impacting global trade, proactively identifying and mitigating compliance risks for customers.
Workflow Management: Collaborate with the development team to refine and adapt the technical
workflow for optimal efficiency, ensuring alignment with current requirements.
Team Leadership: Effectively manage and motivate a team of 5-20 team members, assigning
tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of all responsibilities.
Data Management: Possess a strong understanding of data formats, processing procedures, and
data quality requirements.
Documentation Expertise: Write clear and concise documentation for all processes, ensuring
comprehensive and accessible instructions for the entire team.
HTS Classification Expertise: Adept in applying Harmonized System (HTS) methodology to
accurately classify goods for customs purposes. Possess extensive experience in preparing Binding
Tariff Information (BTI) applications to secure official classification rulings.
Customs Incentives Advocate: Proven ability to leverage customs incentives and programs to achieve tangible cost savings for customers. Demonstrated success in securing favorable rulings
and duty reductions.
Global Communication:Maintain clear and effective communication with international
stakeholders, including technical administrators, developers, data entry specialists, coaches,
management, and potentially regulatory authorities and customers.
Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and troubleshoot customer complaints, faulty workflows,
missing data, and any issues that lead to incomplete data or poor data quality. Implement effective solutions to maintain smooth operations and accurate trade compliance.
Who you are?
You have completed Bachelor or Master Degree from an accredited institution in Science, Mathematics, Statistics or any other related field.
Your field of study makes you an expert in reasoning and logic, and data organization.
You will also have extensive experience understanding and communicating (written and verbal)
technical processes and legal documents to people with diverse professional backgrounds.
