Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Legal Associate located in Mumbai. The Legal Associate will also be responsible for general day-to-day administrative tasks and ensuring that all legal matters are handled effectively and efficiently.
The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of an Assistant Manager will include the following: - To handle SEBI litigation assignment under the guidance of the seniors which include : - Reading the appeal papers and deciding the papers required for preparation of the matter - Regularly liasioning with the client team across location for preparation of the matter - Preparing the strategy for litigating the case - Briefing the issues involved in the appeal to the senior - Preparing factual paper book after discussion with the seniors - Carrying out legal research on various propositions and preparing legal paper book thereafter - To assist the seniors in briefing the Partner / briefing certain small matters independently to the partner or the arguing counsel - To take adjournments before the Tribunal on a regular basis - Overseeing the work of Associate
Qualifications
Expertise in law and legal issues
Experience in legal document preparation and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Strong research capabilities and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Familiarity with legal databases and computer systems
Bachelor's degree in Law or related field
Master's degree in Law or related field is a plus
