The role reports to the India CEO.
Job Summary:
The Compliance Head will be responsible for overseeing and managing the legal and regulatory compliance framework of the organization. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ensuring adherence to Organisational policy of ethics and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Adherence to Internal Policies - Implement, monitor and ensure the organization's internal code of ethics and compliance.
Land-Related Legal Compliance - Ensure that all necessary laid-out processes are followed while getting Land-related permits, approvals, leases, forest clearances, and environmental clearances.
Workforce Compliance - Ensure compliance with Contract Labour, BOCW, Factories, and other relevant statutes.
M&A Due Diligence - Conduct due diligence for mergers and acquisitions to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
Contract and Agreement related - Ensure all project, construction, and O&M activities are governed by risk-free contracts and agreements.
Risk Management - Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate compliance risks.
Regulatory Compliance - Oversee compliance with corporate affairs and secretarial regulations.
Behavioural Skills:
Requisite experience of more than 12-18 years in managing compliance in a similar industry of Renewable energy or Infrastructure oriented businesses.
LLB preferred.
Must be from the organisation, where the governance is given due importance and is followed in spirit.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment across different states.
Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all compliance activities.
Demonstrate high ethical standards and integrity in all dealings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to analyze complex legal and regulatory issues and develop effective solutions.
In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to land acquisition, construction, and operations in the wind energy sector.
Experience in handling litigation and managing legal disputes.
Ability to effectively liaise with government agencies and authorities.
Strong risk management skills to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
Experience in conducting due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
