Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Associate role located in Chennai. As an Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in drafting, vetting legal documents and conducting legal research. You will also appear and represent our Clients before Courts, Tribunals and appear before the Sub-Registrar Offices to assist in registration process. You will be working closely with the senior associates of the firm in case management and strategy development to offer the effective and prompt legal services to our clients.
Qualifications
LLB with 0-3 years of experience as a practicing lawyer.
Enrolled with a Bar Council
Proficiency in English and Tamil preferred
Excellent legal drafting and research skills, with a strong understanding of legal concepts and terminology.
Experience in litigation and/or real estate practice is preferred, but applicants from other practice areas will also be considered.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
Prepare legal opinion, property due-diligence and assist in registration before Sub-Registrar Offices
Represent and argue cases before the Madras High Court, Subordinate Courts and Tribunals, Tamil Nadu
Conduct trademark searches, prepare FTO reports and appear before Trademark Office for hearings
Contract drafting, review and negotiations
