They are empowered to represent clients at all levels of the Canadian government and immigration tribunals. Their services include litigation, appealing visa refusals, assisting with Canadian business and economic immigration programs, and helping clients apply for various immigration programs.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Corporate Immigration Lawyer responsible for providing legal advice and assisting clients with Canadian immigration law matters. The lawyer will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate & professional immigration clients, drafting legal documents, filling Immigration forms, advising clients on immigration law and policy, and representing clients at Immigration Tribunals or Department of Immigration.
In addition, you'll be tasked with acquiring corporate clients and securing key accounts seeking immigration services for their Canadian business needs. We're seeking a dynamic individual with a proven record in client acquisition and retention, excellent communication skills, and comprehensive knowledge of Canadian immigration law and regulations.
The role will offer flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of Canadian immigration law and policies
Experience managing corporate immigration clients
Business Development, Negotiation and closing skills.
Excellent drafting and legal writing skills
Ability to conduct legal research and analyze legal documents
Strong client management skills and ability to work with diverse clients
Good understanding of visa processes, qualifications, and applications
A comprehensive understanding of laws and regulations related to immigration
Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex immigration laws to clients
Familiarity with relevant computer applications and technologies
A law degree from a recognized institution.
Admission to at least one Indian state bar.
Knowledge of Canadian immigration law is a plus

Relevant qualifications include:
Experience practicing corporate immigration law in Canada or other countries
Experience working with multinational corporations or immigration law firms
Fluency in English language and knowledge of French is a plus, but not mandatory
Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
Interview Process
The interview process will encompass three rounds:
Round One will consist of pre-screening questions;
Round Two will require you to work on a live case by filing an application with the lead counsel, where your legal acumen, research skills, drafting abilities, collaboration, client management, time management, and prioritization will be evaluated;
Round Three will involve a background check and salary negotiations.
Probationary Period: 6 months
During the 6-month probationary contract period, the selected candidate will receive a basic remuneration. This probationary period will serve as an evaluation phase to assess the candidate's suitability for the role and their ability to thrive in a highly competitive environment with elevated expectations.
