This role is for Head of Legal & Contract Management – APAC position based in the one of our India office of Linxon (Chennai, Bengaluru or Vadodara), reporting to the Chief Legal Officer. We are looking for someone who has experience working for a leading private practice law firm and/or has relevant in-house legal experience.

You will support APAC, in respect of Asia Pacific and potentially, international legal matters relating to engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) projects, major procurements with clients, partners, subcontractors and suppliers globally, including certain corporate secretarial matters.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Support and provide advice to Linxon in all legal and contractual matters (contract law, corporate law, and antitrust law), except for tax matters.

Provide advice and guidance in respect of construction claims and disputes and managing the resolution of those claims and also coordinate with external counsels on need basis.

Support country integrity officer in integrity matters, and integrity training of Linxon employees

As a pro-active, ethical, business-minded and out-of-the-box thinker, you will research, advise, prepare, draft, review, comment and/or negotiate complex contractual documents, and other relevant legal documentation for local or international EPC projects.

Participate in the review and negotiation process of various tenders and contracts with clients and also have experience of negotiating and finalizing MOUs , NDAs, consortium agreement, joint ventures, subcontractors and suppliers.

Provide inputs on legal and commercial issues along with mitigations in the Tenders and Contracts being bid by the corporation/company’s and present them before the Global Management Team

Liaise with other corporate functions (Tax, Treasury, Insurance, Company Secretary, Integrity) to ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.

Experience, Education and other Required:

A qualified law degree / Qualified Lawyer in India; called to a state bar.

Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in EPC/ Construction/ Litigation experience in a major law firm or corporation.

Excellent proficiency in English with excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.

Flexible to travel on need basis within and outside India.
