The Role
The Customer Solution Specialist, based out of India, is a domain expert in civil and environment industry, with a primary focus on supporting the business development opportunities, training, and support of Seequent’s civil and environmental solutions – specifically to service the growing India market.
This role is all about getting face to face with users throughout their lifecycle from customer’s trialing our software and the pre-purchase stage through to experienced users needing support, training, and/or advanced assistance. Being hands-on, task-orientated, and customer-focused, this role is responsible for providing well-rounded technical and sales support with great product knowledge, quick response times, analysis, problem-solving, and solution-finding.
Although based in your local region, you will still be a part of the wider global Expert Services team, who are responsible for ensuring supporting our users in multiple different time zones. This role is part of growing our civil engineering, environmental geoscience, and geotechnical solutions and is an opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team.
This role can be based in any of the Bentley India office cities; New Delhi (ideally), Kolkata, Pune, Mumbai or Chennai. The role could be a hybrid position, full time in the office or home-based work.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Sales & Revenue Generation
Identify and create opportunities by proactively contacting our users and potential users
Conduct demos and webinars and supply information about products prior to sale
Play a key role in delivering our training and project assistance services to our user base
Support customers as they trial a product, ensuring they understand how to use the product to effectively meet their challenges
Marketing and Business Goals
Accurately document all customer interactions in the CRM database
Actively monitor customer satisfaction levels and consistently work to improve outcomes and perceptions
Assist, facilitate, and support all product upgrades, new releases, and new products
Understand Seequent’s marketing goals, product roadmaps, development timelines, and business goals
Product / Domain Knowledge
Be an extremely capable and competent user of the products and possess an excellent understanding of the civil and environmental workflows and how Seequent products bring value to our users
Assist with the testing and technical assessment of emerging products and features
Technical Support + Expert Services
Provide quick responses to customers, listen effectively to establish issues, and be clear and confident in your communications with an ability to provide education and support to all users
Provide in-person and remote technical, system support, training, and on occasion, project assistance.
Being proactive when communicating with users and taking opportunities to complete a user “health check”
Patiently and attentively assisting customers with ‘difficult to resolve’ issues and multiple and repeat issues and being a customer advocate by reporting common and repeat issues to the development and product management teams
Technical Support + Expert Services
Provide quick responses to customers, listen effectively to establish issues, and be clear and confident in your communications with an ability to provide education and support to all users

In order to be successful in this role, you should have:
5+ years of experience in the following areas: geotechnical investigations, geological modelling, and/or conceptual site models
Educated in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline
Experience with relevant software modelling solutions
Fluent in English at a highly technical and professional level
Confident oral and written communication skills
Customer focused, with the desire to always achieve a win-win solution
Ability to work well with other team members and to provide support and assistance
Innovative, open, and able to work in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and build sustainable working relationships.

Operational experience in civil/groundwater engineering projects
Experience working in a large civil consultancy or ground engineering services firm
Experience using Leapfrog Works
Experience in Geostudio and/or PLAXIS
Experience in commercial software projects or testing.
