Key Job Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and support to the Group operations in India including legal and risk analysis in complex and strategic matters
Provide guidance to management on business strategies and develop creative and workable solutions to business needs while mitigating risk in a constantly evolving industry; raise business’ awareness of legal issues and ensure early legal involvement
Draft, review and negotiate variety of contracts and legal documents
Manage all litigation, dispute resolution, and any investigation and enquiries related to the business operations
Interact with External law firms for any legal matters
Ensure implementation of Group Legal policies and procedures that comply with all relevant and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with internal legal teams in other jurisdictions to ensure standardization and alignment on legal matters at Group level and support continuous improvement in that respect.
Advising the management on the M&A activities if any in India
Driving the Ethics & Compliance for the region
Education and Experience
University degree in Law (LLB), plus, Company Secretary (ACS/FCS) - Qualified in India
Minimum 8-12 years of experience in legal profession and Company Secretarial matters, including knowledge & experience in a corporate legal function.
Experience in dealing with and resolving litigation
