On the other hand, Lexstone & Wheaton Law Chambers is a specialized arm in Criminal Litigation & White-Collar Investigations.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Corporate Lawyer at Lexstone Group (Law Offices) located in Gurugram. The Corporate Lawyer will be responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents, advising clients on business and legal transactions, conducting research, and representing clients before courts and other authorities, if needed. The Corporate Lawyer will also be responsible for negotiating with opposing parties, attending meetings, and providing legal advice to clients on various corporate matters, including but not limited to, corporate transactions, structuring, drafting and negotiating contracts, managing legal documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Post-Qualification Experience: The candidate shall have at least 5 years of experience.
The candidate shall have extensive knowledge of the Corporate Laws and other laws, such as Prevention of Money Laundering Act, Companies Act, LLP Act, Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Penal Code, Evidence Act, Prevention of Corruption Act, etc. is desirable.
The Candidate shall have experience in transaction advisory including structuring of transactions, drafting, review and negotiation of transaction documents such as shareholders agreement, share purchase agreement, business transfer agreement, collaboration agreement, development agreement, franchisee agreement, master service agreement, consortium agreement, etc.
The Candidate shall have a working knowledge of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) on various issues, such as Foreign Direct Investment in India (FDI), Overseas Direct Investment outside India (ODI), Remittance Scheme, External Commercial Borrowings, Branch Office, Export-Import, Foreign Bank Accounts, Capital-Current Account Transaction, Compounding, etc.
Excellent drafting and legal writing skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in representing clients in court and other legal proceedings
Bachelor's degree in law from an accredited university
Licensed to practice law in India
Experience in criminal litigation and white-collar investigations is a plus
Educational Qualification: LLB. CS/ CA shall be added advantage.
