Position: Patent Drafting Specialist
Job Description: As a Patent Drafting Specialist, you will be responsible for drafting patent applications in the software and electronics domains for submission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the Indian Patent Office. This role requires a deep understanding of both the technical aspects of software and electronics inventions as well as the legal framework governing patents.
Location : Delhi-NCR/ Bangalore
Mandatory to have Bachelor’s degree from teir1 college in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with inventors and attorneys to understand the technical details of inventions.
Conduct thorough prior art searches to assess patentability and ensure novelty.
Draft patent applications in compliance with US and Indian patent laws and regulations.
Prepare technical drawings and diagrams to support patent applications.
Review and revise patent drafts based on feedback from inventors and attorneys.
Assist with patent prosecution, including responding to office actions and communicating with patent examiners.
Stay updated on changes in patent laws and regulations in the US and India.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patent drafting activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from teir1 college in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, or a related field.
Advanced degree (master’s or PhD) preferred.
1 to 3 years of experience in patent drafting, particularly in the software and electronics domains.
Proficiency in drafting patent claims and specifications.
Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to conduct prior art searches effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with patent laws and procedures in the US and India.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Legal Fundamentals
