Role: Senior Legal Counsel

Exp - 10-20 Yrs

Location : Pune/Hyderabad(Hybrid)

Notice Period: Immediate joiner-45 Days

Salary Range: 45L-55 LPA including 15 % variable

Qualifications:

Should have experience of working with Corporate Legal function of GCC and IT/ITeS industry.

• Qualification: LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized institution.

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in handling Legal and Compliance roles.

(Not seeking candidates from Legal Process outsourcing operations (LPO operations profile or experience)).

• The candidate should:

o Have in-depth knowledge of Indian laws and regulations particularly in areas of Labour laws, contracts,

and regulatory compliance.

o Have ability to research and articulate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.

o Operate & advice in an ethical manner in accordance with company's Corporate Code of Ethics, policies

and procedures.

Job Purpose

Ensure Compliance with applicable laws. Skills to interpret and monitor legal and regulatory guidelines.

Support functions, review legal documents and adherence to legal framework applicable to the company.

Key Responsibilities

Legal:(Time Spent 60%)

• Ensure implementation and improvement in the processes to help ensure Company’s

compliance with applicable laws & regulations.

• Timely review, dissemination, and implementation of new / amended laws.

• Review, draft and negotiate Contracts from legal perspective within defined timelines.

• Standardize / improve upon contracts for efficient reviews & to reduce risk for the

Company.

• Vetting group agreements, SOW’s, and execution thereof. Ensuring SoW’s are updated.

• Support legal head in establishing processes / systems from legal perspective.

• Vetting affidavits, letters, General/specific General Power of Attorney and applications to

Government Departments and Regulatory bodies.

• Review and advice on various legal / compliance matters to Management / functions.

• Identify legal and regulatory risks associated with business and means to mitigate such

risks.

• Liaison with third parties like external counsels / law firms, Auditors, etc.

Compliance ((Time Spent 40%)

• Monitor compliances by functions and identify compliance requirements for the Company.

• Inform, advise and recommendations with respect to compliance matters.

• Plan, conduct and support compliance audits.

• Regularly review compliance controls, Company policies and procedures to ensure that

they meet legal and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure that employees take required training offered by Corporate Ethics, Compliance &

Investigations (CECI) team.

• Timely reporting to internal Management and HO Compliance teams.

• To act as Privacy Contact and support implementing Privacy laws.
