About the Role: They are currently looking for a senior qualified law graduate to oversee the various activities in the legal function- Litigation, non-litigation, compliance and M&A transactions.
Responsibilities:
Ideal candidate will be responsible for
Drafting and Vetting of Contracts/ Legal Documentation:
Leading the Review, negotiations and drafting of legal documentation viz Agreements & Contracts, financing documents, documents pertaining to tendering process, deeds and giving opinions and preparing briefs for opinion, counsel briefing, attending court matters, legal risk analysis,
Litigation:Ensure identification and resolution of potential disputes before escalation to litigation.
Supervising Litigations; Representations to external Government and Non - Governmental agencies etc
Identify external counsel which can be engaged for finalizing the course of action on any litigation
Collating information from all sources, forming arguments, organizing out of court settlements
Compliance
Ensure 100% compliances in the sphere of all statutory and regulatory compliances
Improve Company’s risk evaluation and mitigation efficiency
Oversee MIS and Record keeping, Training & Development
M&A, Arbitrations, Registrations, , Negotiations, Due Diligence, Legal Research & Analysis
Stakeholder Management
Strategies Implementation and manage the legal team and work effectively with all the stakeholders in consultation with the HOD.
Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with external stakeholders and internal teams and ensuring coordination for the smooth flow of processes.
Team Management : support cross functional teams in legal aspects
Requirements:
A Graduate in Law / LL.B/ LLM from a reputed law Institute or University.
Have 12-15 years of experience in a legal department in an organization or in a law firm of repute.
out of which 3-5 years of experience in handling a team.
Legal research on online legal search websites such as manupatra, SCC online etc.
Ability to access websites of Supreme Court, High Courts , District courts, Consumer Courts, Tribunals, MoCA, TDSAT
Superior advocacy skills, including the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate in writing and orally, an aptitude for practical negotiation, the capability to think clearly and quickly under pressure, and the composure to satisfy multiple and often competing interests
Superior negotiation skills and ability to work in complex environment, substantial experience working in different cultures and an open and tolerant mind with respect to diversity.
