Provides a full range of legal advice and services. Responsibilities are within the Legal Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

Your Role And Responsibilities

Under the guidance and supervision of senior legal team members, a typical day will include

Draft, review, analyze and negotiate a variety of commercial and licensing agreements, including data, content, indexes, technology transactional agreements

Work closely with sales, operations and product teams to ensure Company objectives are met

Provide legal guidance and support to our internal businesses and operations around the world including licensing, technology and commercial legal advice.

Keep up to date and provide guidance on regulations that impact Nasdaq products and services

Representing (without close supervision from senior lawyers) the company’s positions in commercial matters.

You Will Need The Following Skills And Experience

At least 13+ years’ experience, preferably at a top law firm and/or in-house

Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements

Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of other disciplines across multiple regions

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and clients

Law Degree (e.g., in the U.S., the Juris Doctor degree)

And it would be great if you have experience with

Understanding of the legal and business aspects of licensing data, including regulated data, alternative data, indexes, financial information, software and/or technology products and services

Experience drafting and negotiating contracts for complex commercial transactions

The ability to analyze complex contracts and effectively communicate with internal clients

Knowledge of intellectual property and data privacy/data security
