Overview
Our Trademarks Prosecution team is expanding, and we are looking for a Managing Associate to handle prosecution related work for India and in international jurisdictions. You will be responsible for handling the entire life cycle of trademark prosecution. You will also be involved in business development, client relationship management, and quality control.
Requirements
A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a reputed IP firm, with a focus on trademark prosecution.
A law degree from a recognized university and a license to practice in India.
Expertise in trademark law, practice, and procedures
Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, under pressure and with tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
Handle the entire life cycle of trademark prosecution, from conducting searches, filing applications, responding to objections, attending hearings, to obtaining registrations and filing renewals.
Advise clients on trademark strategy, and portfolio management.
Manage the team of associates and paralegals, and provide them with guidance, mentoring, and training.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, and identify new business opportunities.
Coordinate with other teams and departments within the firm, and liaise with external stakeholders such as agents, attorneys, and officials.
Ensure the timely and effective delivery of services to clients.
