You will have ownership of end to end legal matters as General Counsel of the Company, the strategy, the execution in line with Company's vision towards its employees, customers, investors, technology and business partners and governments, across markets - India, USA, UK, EU, Singapore, APAC, MENA.

Legal Strategy And Global Compliance
You will execute comprehensive legal strategy on company matters including capital raising, complex commercial contracts, employment law, intellectual property, data security and protection, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
You will execute for the company all relevant local laws and regulations and stay updated on legislative changes impacting the organization across geographies of focus (India, USA, UK, EU, Singapore, APAC, MENA).
You will co-own matters of corporate development which includes you to conduct comprehensive research and lead internal and external discussions for company's global structure (parent/subsidiaries), with a focus on corporate, tax compliance and all legal matters. This includes the Company establishment of new offices in India, USA, UK, EU, Singapore, APAC, MENA.

Contract Management
You will draft, review, and negotiate variety of complex legal documents and contracts, including partnership agreements, high-value service contracts, employer-employee contractual agreements, strategic non-disclosure agreements, and property leases.
You will ensure all contracts and agreements are legally watertight, aligning with company policies, and effectively manage risk.
Corporate Governance / Corporate Development
You will develop and implement corporate policies and procedures to ensure best practices in corporate governance.
You will advise the board on governance matters, including the preparation of board/shareholders resolutions and minutes.
Risk Management
You will own strategy and execution of Company's risk management, which includes regular identification, thorough assessment, and management of high-level legal risks
You will own the development and execution of short/medium/long term strategies to mitigate these risks, associated with Company's relationships with employees, customers, investors, technology and business partners and governments, across markets - India, USA, UK, EU, Singapore, APAC, MENA.
You will lead pre-litigation legal disputes and complex inquiries, working to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
You will lead Company's representation on all matters of litigation with respect to company-employee, company-customers, company-investors, company-technology and business partners and company-governments relationships.
Liaison With External Counsel
You will have ownership to lead effectively relationships with external legal advisors and ensure effective deliverables.
Ensure cost- effective and strategic use of external legal resources.
Litigation And Dispute Resolution
You will have ownership of litigation and dispute resolution, including arbitration, mediation and courts of law within every geography of focus - India, USA, UK, EU, Singapore, APAC, MENA.
You will lead Company's representation in significant legal proceedings as and when needed.
Regulatory And Government Affairs
You will lead monitoring and execution of regulatory changes affecting the company's operations.
You will liaison with regulatory bodies and represent the company in regulatory matters.
Corporate Development
You will co-own corporate development objectives and goals, including investment management process and closures mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic alliances.
You will lead Company's representation in all matters of due diligence, negotiations of terms, during the investment management process for successful closures
You will lead all legal matters related to strategic client projects and business development Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) or equivalent from a premium institution - NLSIU Bangalore, NUJS Kolkata, NLU (Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Raipur, Cuttack, Lucknow, Kochi, Delhi), Symbiosis Pune, Jamia Millia Islamia
Juris Doctor (JD) and/or Master of Laws (LLM) degree from a premium institution India and globally - NLSIU Bangalore, NUJS Kolkata, NLU (Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Raipur, Cuttack, Lucknow, Kochi, Delhi), Symbiosis Pune, Jamia Millia Islamia, Harvard Law School, Yale Law School, Stanford Law School).
B.Tech., B.E from a reputed University/Institution in USA, Europe, UK/NUS
Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven 15 - 20 years of total experience
Proven relevant work experience (as above) of 5 - 10 years in established, reputed law firms and minimum 5 -10 years in high growth corporates
Strong understanding and experience in corporate development activities, including Capital raising (Series B onwards), M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
Impeccable record of demonstrated highest level of integrity, value system, ethics and corporate governance
Proven experience of Stakeholder management with demonstrated experiemce of work collaborative work with top/senior management and with other departments
Strong organizational skills and highest attention to detail.
