Key responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Proven experience in academic advising, student services, or related educational field.

Strong knowledge of academic programs, degree requirements, and educational policies.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, faculty, and staff.

Ability to provide empathetic and solution-oriented counseling to address students' academic challenges.

Familiarity with student information systems and academic advising tools for accurate record-keeping.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive academic environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software for data analysis and reporting.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple student cases and administrative responsibilities.

Understanding of student development theories and best practices in academic advising.

Ability to adapt to changing academic policies and effectively communicate updates to students.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in academic advising.
