We are looking for a Senior Lawyer to join a team that has been working for over 8 years on a highly loaded web platform with a microservice architecture, with users located all over the world and numbering in the tens of millions.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English (intermediate or advanced);
- Experience of 5+ years with Indian law;
- Experience with IT projects;
- Experience as a sole legal practitioner;
- Managerial experience as an advantage;
- Experience in dealing with local government agencies on labour and corporate matters.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing the company's legal strategies to ensure compliance with local laws;
- Providing specialized legal advice on corporate, contract and employment law, including litigation where necessary;
- Identifying and mitigating legal risks, ensuring all company activities comply with legal requirements;
- Drafting, analyzing and negotiating legal documents, including contracts and agreements;
- Collaborating with various departments to provide legal support for marketing, commercial and other business initiatives;
- Tracking changes in legislation and advising on necessary changes to company policies and practices;
- Overseeing dispute resolution and managing litigation to protect the company's interests;
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all legal matters, maintaining an archive of documents.
