We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Associate cum Executive Assistant to support the Director - Legal and Compliance
Responsibilities
Prepare and draft legal documents including complaints, motions, pleadings, affidavits, and other legal correspondence for Civil, Criminal, NCLT, DRT, RERA, Consumer forums and land litigation.
Regularly tracking the latest circulars and notifications from various regulatory bodies/institutions affecting the company directly or indirectly including but not limited to GST, ESI, PF, IT, SEBI, BSE, etc
Assist in the preparation and review of contracts, agreements, and legal opinions.
Conduct thorough legal research on various cases, compile data, and prepare reports as required.
Stay updated with the latest legal precedents, statutory changes, and regulatory developments.
Assist in managing and organizing case files, ensuring that all documents are filed correctly and timely.
Coordinate with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as needed.
Develop strategic concepts and frameworks aligned with the mission and vision of the Legal and Tax Compliance functions.
Provide insights, findings, and recommendations to the Legal and Tax Compliance.
Collaborate with teams to manage deliverables and timelines for strategic initiatives.
Identify and resolve critical bottlenecks in legal and tax compliance processes.
Conduct daily analysis to ensure smooth operations.
Serve as the main point of contact for the Legal and Tax Compliance Director, fostering empowerment across verticals.
Execute key strategic initiatives focused on compliance, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency within legal and tax departments.
Coordinate and prepare for meetings, including agenda creation, document preparation and preparing minutes of meetings.
Assist with filing, record-keeping, and data entry tasks as needed.
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects to ensure timely completion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Manage and organize data to ensure all documents and records are up-to-date.
Handle the email correspondence of the Director. Screen, prioritize, and Inform about the emails to Director, ensuring important messages are highlighted and addressed promptly.
Engage in comprehensive research across diverse subjects as directed by the director
Qualifications
Specifically, the candidate should have:
Female Candidates Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
0-1 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to civil litigation, property matters/ land matters.
Strong understanding of legal principles, procedures, and terminologies related to civil, criminal, and land law.
Excellent drafting and writing skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficient in legal research tools and databases.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
