About Project YAARI:
Young Adults for Accessible, Respectful, and Inclusive Reproductive Health Initiatives (YAARI) will support Country’s FP2030 vision through development and implementation of Policies, guidelines and protocols that promote and lead to establishing Quality, gender-sensitive and equitable, provision for SRH/FP services.
The project will undertake supply-side interventions as well as demand generation activities for strengthening SRH/FP service provision through innovative program models that empower health care providers, beneficiaries, especially the Youth/Adolescents to increasingly access SRH/FP services in select districts of five states namely Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Haryana
YAARI will encourage volunteerism, inclusion, informed choice and accountability. It will engage with diverse stakeholders from public and private sectors and civil society at the National and state levels and bolster local community governance platforms to successfully address the emerging SRH/FP priorities. The project will support the country in consolidating and sharing its learnings through a National/Regional SRH/FP Learning Exchange Platform.
Job Description:
The District Program manager will work under the supervision of the State Program Manager (SPM) to support the core program activities. The primary job responsibilities will include the following:
• Support the implementation of FP/SRH activities, focused on Youth/Adolescents/ in the assigned district.
• Support state government/district health authorities’ capacity building of the health system to ensure implementation of the National SRH/FP guidelines as per the FP 2030 Vision.
• Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of the YAARI initiative within the district ensuring alignment with project deliverables.
• Oversee the day-to-day implementation of program activities, coordinating with local stakeholders and partners as per the project Goal & Objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with district health authorities, local government officials, community leaders, NGOs, partners and other key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with partners to ensure a unified and effective approach to FP/SRH service delivery at the district level.
• Design and implement community outreach programs to raise awareness about FP/SRH services, tailoring initiatives to address local needs and concerns.
• Mobilize community leaders, influencers, and local organizations to actively contribute in program activities.
• Manage program resources and budgets at the district level, ensuring optimal utilization and adherence to project financial guidelines.
• Oversee procurement processes and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely resource delivery.
• Conduct field visits to districts and sub-district level facilities as per project needs and compile the relevant data for sharing.
• Liaison with district officials and advocate for the project objectives as needed.
• Support the state project team in documentation, data collection and analysis for effective use of evidence in program implementation.
• Weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting as per project requirements.
• Represent the IPE work and coordinate effectively with state and district officials.
• Ensure that all project deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Responsible for providing technical and program implementation support on thematic areas like family planning and sexual reproductive health, Youth & Adolescents, as well as health system strengthening support, private sector engagement, and technology adoption in the district.
• Provide support for liaisoning with High priority / aspirational Districts as per need.
• Undertake any other project related work assigned by your direct supervisor from time to time.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or Social Sciences, or a related field.
• 5-8 Years of experience of implementing FP/SRH health programs at the district/state level. Experience of working with CBOs/Communities would be an added advantage.
• Experience of working with Youth/Adolescents at district or state level in public or private sector and communities will be an asset.
• Strong understanding of socio-cultural dynamics and sensitivity to SRH issues.
• Proven experience in program management; strong organizational and Coordination skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and oral and written communication skills both in Hindi and English.
• Familiarity with the healthcare landscape and socio-cultural dynamics of the state
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
• Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy both individually and as part of a complex team effort.
