As an Attorney at Sanas, you'll be instrumental in providing strategic legal counsel across various legal, commercial, and regulatory domains. Your role will involve advising on matters related to product development, sales and marketing, technology, compliance, and regulatory affairs. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, including the Sales and Marketing teams, to ensure legal alignment with global practices and business interests.
Legal Expertise:
Provide comprehensive legal counsel on a broad range of issues impacting Sanas' business.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Commercial contracts (drafting, negotiation, management)Technology and data privacy law
Regulatory compliance (ensuring adherence to relevant regulations in various jurisdictions)
Intellectual property – Patent, Trademarks, Copyright, Trade secret
Product development and launch (identifying and mitigating legal risks)
Analyze and assess legal and regulatory risks associated with new products, business ventures, and strategic initiatives
Manage complex legal matters, including contract negotiations, litigation (potential involvement in pre-litigation disputes), and ensuring regulatory compliance
Develop and implement standardized legal processes and templates to streamline legal services delivery
Collaboration and Communication:
Partner closely with the Sales & Marketing team to ensure legal alignment with overall business goals and strategies
Serve as a key legal advisor, providing ongoing support and guidance to various functional and business leaders across the organization
Collaborate effectively with internal teams across departments, including Product Development, Technology, and Compliance
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain complex legal matters to both technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications:
4+ years post-qualification experience (PQE) in a law firm or as an in-house counsel
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in law
Strong academic background with excellent credentials from reputable law firms
Fluency in English with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to maintain composure under pressure and make sound decisions in ambiguous situations
Collaborative mindset with leadership capabilities and a hands-on approach
Experience managing significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times
Exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
Additional Responsibilities:
Stay up-to-date on relevant legal and regulatory developments in all three jurisdictions (India, US, Philippines) and advise the business accordingly
Conduct legal research and prepare informative reports and presentations on legal issues
Collaborate with external lawyers as needed
