Key Responsibilities:
Legal Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements including Rental Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Employee Agreements, and Legal Notices.
Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate matters.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Represent the university in legal proceedings, if necessary.
Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and legal frameworks.
Financial Responsibilities:
Manage GST (Goods and Services Tax) compliance, including filing of returns and ensuring timely payments.
Handle Income Tax Return (ITR) filings and related documentation.
Oversee financial compliance related to Food License, Trade License, and other MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) requirements.
Ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to accounting standards.
Conduct internal audits and prepare financial statements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and Accounting or related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (such as CA) would be an added advantage.
Proven experience as a corporate lawyer and accountant.
Comprehensive understanding of legal terminology and accounting principles.
Proficiency in GST, ITR, and MSME compliance.
Fluency in English, Hindi, and Tamil.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Skills and Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of corporate laws, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
Ability to draft clear and precise legal documents.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proficient in using legal research tools and financial software.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with different departments.
