We are looking for Assistant Legal Manager/Legal Associate.

Location - Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujrat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar. (must be a local person)

Responsibilities:

•Appear and represent before courts, tribunals, police station and other statutory and regulatory authorities on behalf of the Company.

•Liaising and coordinating with advocates and law enforcement agencies i.e. Police Station etc. on case-to-case basis along with continuous follow up for expediting each case.

•Able to manage independently and also work together with collection team in taking repossession of assets / vehicles and making customer visits for ensuring recovery.

•Drafting, vetting and assistance in finalization of formats of overdue notices, demand notices, S 138, S 25, Loan Recall, Arbitration Notices, Letters, NOCs, undertakings, agreements, recovery letters,

petitions, appeal etc. in compliance with all laws and regulatory statutes.

•Independently and proactively advise collection team in legal issues including civil and criminal litigation in the respective region on need basis.

•Formulating and implementing the strategy for settlement and litigation in agreement with the collection teams.

•To work in close coordination with legal head and collection team for debtor’s review and taking legal steps for recovery of outstanding debts. Co-ordination with collection departments for initiating

legal action against defaulting borrowers.

•Preparation and circulation of litigation MIS on time-to-time basis and tracking and monitoring of the same.

•Provide assistance in documentation and other debt recovery process.

•Handle all legal work as may be assigned from time to time.

•Other routine matters.

Education, Experience & Skillset

•LLB Graduate with at least 3 years of work experience in NBFC/Bank (In Retail Litigation Team)

•Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

•BFSI experience would be preferred.

Technical Competencies

•Well versed with Arbitration Law and its Procedures, SARFAESI Law and its Procedure, Debt Recovery Laws and its Procedures, Section 138 and its Procedures, Court Procedures, Contract Law,

Consumer Protection Laws, Civil & Criminal Procedure Codes, Indian Penal Code and Repossession process.

•The candidate should have a strong understanding of banking related laws and processes, including, Companies Act, Stamp Duty, NBFC and Banking Rules & Regulations.

•Keeping up with current changes on all relevant areas of laws and contributing to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company’s legal function

•Well versed with Microsoft Excel
