We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing retail litigation, addressing employee grievances, and ensuring compliance with NBFC regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent legal acumen and strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Retail Litigation:

➢ Oversee and manage all retail litigation cases, ensuring effective and timely resolution.

➢ Develop and implement strategies for successful litigation management, including loan recovery and repossession of secured assets.

➢ Prepare, review, and file legal documents, including suits, summary suits, and other legal proceedings related to retail litigation.

➢ Represent the company in court, arbitration, and other legal proceedings as required.

➢ Coordinate with external legal counsel and manage relationships with law firms handling litigation on behalf of the company.

➢ Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements in the litigation process.

• Risk Management and Compliance:

➢ Identify potential legal risks in retail operations and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

➢ Ensure all litigation activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal standards.

➢ Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting retail litigation and ensure the company’s legal practices remain compliant.

• Reporting and Documentation:

➢ Maintain detailed records of all litigation cases, including documentation of court proceedings, settlements, and judgments.

➢ Prepare regular reports on the status of litigation cases and provide updates to senior management.

➢ Analyze litigation outcomes and develop insights to improve future litigation strategies

• Advice Employee Grievances:

➢ Advise the HR department and management on legal aspects of employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

➢ Develop and implement policies and procedures for handling employee grievances in compliance with labor laws and company policies.

➢ Mediate and resolve disputes between employees and the company, ensuring fair and equitable outcomes.

➢ Conduct investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate actions.

Desired Candidate Profile:

➢ Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university. A Master’s degree (LLM) or additional qualifications in corporate law is preferred.

➢ A minimum of 6 years of experience in a legal role, with significant experience in litigation and non-litigation matters.

➢ Proven track record in handling retail litigation cases and providing legal advice on employee grievances.

➢ Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework governing the NBFC sector.

➢ Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

➢ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. ➢ High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
