We are looking for a resourceful candidate to join our Legal and Compliance department based out of the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India. The Legal team is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving legal issues and risks for the firm. The team handles matters related to contract review, transactional and real estate legal support, litigation, employment, and intellectual property.
WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:
In this role, you will review and negotiate data and software license agreements, subscription agreements, order forms, and other intellectual property related agreements. You will be required to review, draft, and negotiate agreements for goods and services, consulting agreements, event contracts, engagement letters, and non-disclosure agreements with potential counterparties and vendors. Additionally, you will also get the opportunity to collaborate with attorneys in other offices of the D.E. Shaw group on various agreements and miscellaneous projects
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Basic qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in law
An impressive record of academic achievement along with 3 - 4 years of experience, including experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating licensing, technology, and other commercial contracts
Exceptional organizational and analytical ability, outstanding judgment, a keen attention to detail, and proven drafting, communication, and project management skills
Preferred qualification:
Prior experience in independently handling end-to-end contract lifecycle
