About the client: PSS has been mandated to hire a Head - Legal for a leading microfinance company with a legacy of over 30 years, focused on serving customers across rural and semi-urban locations.
Job Purpose
Head the Legal function and report to MD & CEO
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and legal documents.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Oversee and manage all litigation and arbitration matters involving the company.
Corporate Governance: Advise the Managing Director and the board on corporate governance issues.
Legal Advisory: Provide legal advice to senior management on business transactions, mergers,
acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
Regulatory Affairs (Excluding Compliance): Liaise with regulatory bodies as necessary for non-compliance-related matters.
Educational Qualifications And Experience
Law Graduate, Master's degree (LLM) is preferred.
Minimum of 10-15 years of legal experience, preferably in the corporate sector.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
