The Role:

The role reports into a member of the Global Services Legal leadership team, and involves close alignment with the other Global Services Legal Leads, and the rest of the Global Services Legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

Support (as required) Its current and future programs for management and use of data, including assisting in the development and operation of any control frameworks and compliance measures.

Provide support and counsel to a Chief Data Officer or equivalents that may be appointed by client, including participating in leadership structures and/or data governance programs and initiatives established by such officer.

Enable Its’s Centre for Data & Insights teams with the sourcing and commercialization of data for It.

Support It’s Responsible AI program, including collaborating with It’s new Data & AI Compliance program. Your responsibilities will include:

Participating in global governance for development of It’s Responsible AI program

Co-designing, and enabling the Responsible AI program, alongside It's Ethics and Compliance team, and other teams including Enterprise Risk Management, Information Security and Applied Intelligence In the role, you will:

Provide thought leadership and advice on data governance and risk identification/management, and on It’s gathering and strategic use of data.

Manage a diverse team of dedicated experts to serve as Global Services Legal’s Data Strategy team, focused on:

Collaborate with Ethics & Compliance, Intellectual Property, Litigation and Government Relations to understand current and future legal, regulatory and policy requirements as well as voluntary commitments and industry best practices, and translate them into best practice approaches

Provide thought leadership and guidance around data issues impacting offering and solution development, and the business areas that we serve

Support It’s Ventures & Acquisitions Legal and business teams in evaluation of data issues for acquisition targets, development and implementation of post-merger integration strategy.

Supervise and coach a team of senior and junior resources, taking responsibility for effective team building and continuous development, and creating process industrialization.

Develop and deliver training to raise acumen and increase expertise related to Data across the Enterprise.

Skills Required:

Demonstrated command of data and related global policy, laws and regulations as they relate to offering, solution and product development

Experience with data and emerging technologies, data driven products and services, software embedded in devices, analytics, and artificial intelligence

Experience analyzing complex facts and situations to provide risk analysis and mitigation strategies related to data governance

Proven ability to develop vision, operationalize and implement strategy

Qualifications & Experience:

Law Degree.

Member of Good standing with applicable bar association

Minimum 10 yrs. relevant experience in a corporate or law firm setting

Track record of developing trusted relationships with senior business leaders

Experience of taking a new product or service offering to market, and familiarity with a product life cycle

Experience leading teams of legal professionals

Must have ability to effectively work with others remotely, manage a schedule with global stakeholders
