Virohan Pvt. Ltd. is an ed-tech company providing higher education for careers in the healthcare sector. We aim to create India’s largest Industry demand-led edtech platform for healthcare professionals. We are funded by Blume Ventures, Rebright Partners (Japan), Bharat Inclusion Technology Seed Fund, Artha Impact (Switzerland) amongst others.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the legal department for the company end-to-end, be the legal voice for every decision made and 'drive' the process for its documentation, execution and closure.

Drafting, negotiation, closure and life-cycle management of all agreements and contracts and working with teams on a standardized agreement process & TAT for closure;

Closely collaborate with the Alliances team to handle queries on contracts with universities and colleges to help achieve campus opening targets

Conduct legal trainings for the org on the standard operating models and the agreements

Understand business needs, counsel and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, turn the alignment into enforceable documents and lead them to closure within clear timelines

Coordinate with legal consultants for legal issues, technical matters, contracts etc.

Own company’s IP assets such as trademarks including their registrations, renewals and oppositions

Manage litigations for the company

Formal correspondence with all external stakeholders incl. partners (own various points of communication - legal notices, emails etc)

Key Skills Needed:

Attention to detail - Ability to dig deep and understand the implications of every single word in a draft and what it will entail for the Company.

Business acumen - Understand business needs and be able to make decisions on how it can flow into a document in a manner favorable to us, rather than ask for clarity at each step.

Business/ Legal Writing - Adept at written forms of formal communication in english
