The Employment Law Deals Team sits within the global Employment Law Team, which is part of the Compliance, Offerings, Regulatory & Ethics (CORE) function within Legal. The team provides employment law support for the most complex and/or multi-jurisdictional client deals and joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting into the Employment Law Deals Lead, this is an exciting opportunity to work directly with key stakeholders across a workload that is both interesting and varied:

Provide operational and strategic support for our most complex multi-jurisdictional transactional matters to key stakeholders (including Contracting Legal, immigration teams, Solution Architects, mobilisation, finance teams, business leadership, V&A HR and V&A Legal):

Outsourcing – negotiating and advising on new bids and contractual aspects of outsourcing deals, build operate transfers, client captive acquisitions, client joint ventures etc., including risk management and transition of staff into (and out from) Accenture.

Ventures & Acquisitions – negotiating and advising on Mergers and Acquisition/joint venture deals, including due diligence, deal execution and post-merger integration support.

Coordinating with the local country Employment Law teams to deliver deal support and advise HR, Legal and management as appropriate.

Acting as senior point of contact and coach/mentor for local country Employment Law teams on significant and complex deal-specific employment law issues.

Educating senior company executives on legal and risk management issues in relation to Contracting and V&A.

Contribute to development of internal guidelines, toolkits, and packaged knowledge on Employment Law and business issues.

Manage and oversee external counsel relationships with law firms as appropriate, including budget management.

Stay abreast of legal developments impacting on Accenture, its clients, and industries and incorporate it into company practices.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to: Global Employment Law Deals Team Lead

Supervises / instructs: external counsel

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Qualified lawyer with post-qualification experience within an Employment Law team, in private practice and/or – ideally – in an in-house environment.

Work Experience: We anticipate hiring a candidate with a minimum of around 10 years post qualification experience, but we will review applications from all levels of post qualification experience.
