About the Organization: Concept of Living Charitable Trust is a leading NGO in India dedicated to promoting awareness and providing training on the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. With a mission to create safer workplaces and environments for women and children, the organization has educated over 1 million employees and more than 50,000 teachers across India.
The NGO works closely with the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Department of Social Justice.
Role Overview: We seek a highly skilled and experienced Legal Consultant/Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in consulting and handling all NGO legal processes. The Legal Consultant/Lawyer will provide legal guidance, support the NGO's initiatives, and ensure compliance with all relevant legal frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)
Develop NGO policy and position on legal issues
Research, anticipate, and guard NGOs against legal risks
Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
Structure, draft, and review reports and other legal documents
Represent NGO in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials, etc.)
Draft and administer all contracts
Negotiate deals and attend company meetings
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven comparable law firm experience
Proven background in corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing, zoning laws)
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Administrative and managerial skills
Analytical ability and strong attention to detail
Computer skills
Current license to practice law
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law (LLB or LLM) from a recognized institution.
Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience. The position offers flexibility in working hours and the opportunity to work remotely or in a hybrid model.
