Job Summary:
The legal executive provides support to lawyers and other legal professionals in a variety of
legal tasks. They assist in research, document preparation, case management, and client
communication to ensure the efficient operation of the legal department or law firm.
Responsibilities:
Legal Research: Conduct legal research using various resources such as online databases,
legal libraries, and case law to gather relevant information for cases or legal matters.
Document Preparation: Draft and prepare legal documents including contracts, agreements,
pleadings, briefs, and other legal correspondence under the supervision of lawyers.
Case Management: Assist in managing case files, including organizing documents,
maintaining case calendars, and tracking deadlines.
Client Communication: Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates on
case progress, and answer inquiries under the guidance of legal professionals.
Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies,
ensuring compliance with procedural rules and deadlines.
Legal Compliance: Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents
relevant to the organization's operations, and advise on compliance issues.
Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to lawyers and legal staff, including
scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining filing systems.
Collaboration: Collaborate with lawyers, paralegals, and other legal professionals to support
the overall functioning of the legal department or law firm.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field. A paralegal certificate may be
preferred.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
Prior experience working in a legal environment is preferred.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
Requirement:
Minimum exp of 2-3 years.
Should be comfortable for onsite working.
Should be able to work independently.
