We are seeking a skilled lawyer with experience working in the space of gender based issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, with knowledge of handling cases related to workplace harassment, child protection, employment and labour law. This role requires a proactive individual who can provide legal advice, ensure compliance, and contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

External Committee Member: Serve as an external member of the Internal Committee (IC) for PoSH compliances, providing unbiased legal insights and ensuring fair proceedings.

Legal Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company’s interests. Ensure all documentation complies with legal standards and company policies.

Legal Insights: Provide legal insights and guidance on PoSH matters, helping clients navigate legal compliance and regulatory requirements.

Facilitation of Training sessions: Conduct respect and anti-harassment awareness sessions, in-person workshops, and webinars for clients, employees, and stakeholders

Content Creation: Prepare engaging and informative content for these sessions and facilitate meaningful discussions. This would include creation of e-learning courses, blogs, videos among others.

Policy Development: Assist Serein in drafting policies and guidelines related to PoSH and other labour law requirements.

PoSH Annual Report: Preparation and creation of the PoSH Annual Reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements

Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice on various matters, including contract law, labour law, and other legal issues pertinent to Serein.

Requirements:

Experience as a practising lawyer, with specific experience serving as an external member of the PoSH Committee.

A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognised university. A master’s degree is a plus.

Relevant experience in the field of Prevention of Sexual Harassment.

Strong legal background and knowledge of PoSH legislation, employment and labour law.

Proven experience in content creation and legal documentation.
