Job Summary
Senior Legal Counsel shall be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to all business units and teams within Dahua India region. Responsibilities mainly include records management, contracts, data privacy, compliances, and project support.
Duties & Responsibilities
Retention and retrieval of Dahua India documents, records and information;
Drafting regulations for records management including procedures for digitalizing the records, all departments' obligation to achieve filing compliance;
Label, prepare and transfer records according to records management procedures and schedules;
Coordinate with various depts. and act as a bridge between Dahua India and external Service Provider for centralized document storage facility;
Maintain an organized inventory, directory, or index of all records;
Ability to draft and close commercial agreements independently and efficiently;
Assist in monitoring, maintaining and implementing corporate governance practices and policies;
Conduct meeting, training session with stakeholders, employees, service providers as and when required for documents management and records classification systems;
Provide general legal advice and negotiate regarding commercial transactions, customer contracts, pricing compliance, and preventative law and litigation management;
Assess legal risk and provide legal advice to Dahua India regarding business transactions;
Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all documentation and records related matters;
Work collaboratively and in partnership with Dahua India and HQ Legal Affairs department

Required Education and Experience
Master/ Bachelor’s degree in law from recognized law school in India/ abroad;
5-10 years' experience in-house with at least some of that time spent at a major law firm;
Experience providing legal support to an electronics or technology business, operating internationally in India;
Strong organization skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, people management, including the ability to work effectively with the business team and with a senior management team;
Having a CS degree is desired but not mandatory.

Dahua India offers an attractive base salary and bonus structure.
