OVERALL, PURPOSE OF JOB:
The role is responsible for individual contribution as part of the ACF team that UnitedLex is building for its client.
Primary day to day focus will be on various brand monitoring and anti-counterfeiting activities.
Candidates should have strengths in teamwork (internal and external stakeholders), quality control, brand monitoring and anti-counterfeiting, and problem-solving. They must also have strong interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should be experienced in working autonomously/remotely from the team/stakeholders but open to seeking advice from senior team members when needed.
The role will be to work directly with the client and external counsels on ACF matters, including search and clearances, investigations, brand enforcement actions, monitoring programs, on-line and social media platforms, C&D letters and pre-contentious and litigation matters.
REQUIREMENTS:
At least four years of brand monitoring/anti-counterfeiting experience in a law firm, in-house or intellectual property service provider.
Prior experience in offline brand enforcement is a must.
Strong, hands-on experience in trademark/trade dress matters.
In-depth knowledge of and strong background in brand enforcement, clearances, IP on-line programs, trademark;
Familiarity and comfort with latest digital technologies and marketplace, social media and communication platforms; strong computer skills and software application proficiency in platforms such as Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word as well as IP-based data and search tools;
Experience and work with IP Management software as Anaqua (Preferred).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting with the development of best practices for the ACF team.
Locating and identifying hotspots, examining Client’s products and identifying lookalikes at these hotspots, and gathering evidence and preparing C&D letters
Global management of the inbox for counterfeit email address and taking subsequent actions, as deemed necessary;
Global intelligence gathering, case linking and intelligence support for investigations and enforcement actions
Working with in-house team and external partners to analyze intelligence, spot patterns and identify links between cases;
Working to identify best ways to authenticate products and implement best practices in relation to authentication
Preparing communications reports (quarterly reports, etc.) for relevant audience at given frequencies;
General support for ACF team and initiatives, including but not limited to preparing training materials, executing awareness programs, and maintaining ACF webpage;
Assisting with distribution of reports to ACF lawyers, and running compliance checks;
Assisting the ACF team in the development and implementation of a strategy to tackle counterfeit products offered for sale offline and online.
