Roles and Responsibilities
Policy and Advocacy Strategy
Lead the development of a comprehensive public policy framework aligned with the associations objectives and the broader interests of the electrical industry.
Develop and deliver policy representation on a wide array of issues impacting members, ensuring their perspectives are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders.
Contribute to strategic planning efforts by aligning personal, departmental, and organizational operational and strategic goals with the overall mission.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with key policymakers, ministries, and government agencies to facilitate open communication and collaboration.
Conduct regular meetings and presentations with governmental stakeholders to advocate for the interests of the electrical industry.
Research and Analysis
Monitor and analyze current and emerging public policy issues relevant to the electrical industry and new energy sectors.
Prepare policy briefs and reports that offer insights and recommendations to senior leadership and members on pressing industry topics.
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with senior leadership and government affairs teams to ensure a cohesive approach to advocacy and policy-making.
Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to incorporate diverse perspectives on policy matters affecting the industry.
Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing
Organize workshops and training sessions to enhance members' understanding of key policy issues and advocacy strategies.
Foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the organization to ensure that all stakeholders are informed about relevant developments.
Compliance and Evaluation
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to public policy and advocacy efforts.
Evaluate the effectiveness of advocacy strategies and activities, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
