Senior Associate Senior Associate
M.S.Bodhanwalla & Co., Advocates & Solicitors is recruiting for the position of 'Senior Associate' with around 5-7 years PQE, for its Disputes, Litigation & Media Law advisory practice groups.
Responsibilities
The candidate's day-to-day tasks will include handling the Firm's litigation matters before the Bombay High Court, the Mumbai City Civil Courts (Fort and Mazgaon), the Metropolitan Magistrate's Courts and forums such as the National Company Law Tribunal and the Debt Recovery Tribunal. In addition, the candidate will also be a given an opportunity to appear in court as lead counsel, subject to performance review. The candidate shall be required to review case briefs thoroughly on a daily basis, interface with briefed senior counsel and counsel on the relevant matter, draft suits, petitions, affidavits, replies, rejoinders, interim applications and notices/other documents as required.
Qualifications
The Firm primarily recruits candidates with a top tier non-NLU background such as Government Law College, Mumbai, ILS Law College, Pune and NLU's such as Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. Accordingly, candidates possessing the aforesaid background will be preferred, given the Firm's familiarity with their work ethic and execution.
The candidate must possess a good grasp over basic fundamental legal concepts, have excellent drafting skills and clarity of thought to translate the same into legal arguments.
