Responsibilities:
Management of the entire Intellectual Property portfolio of clients.
Handling and managing the prosecution, opposition and enforcements relating to IP.
Drafting, filing and prosecution of new applications, amendments, oppositions, rectifications, etc., before the Registrars/ Examiners.
Appearance before the Registrars/Examiners for hearings.
Appearance before District Courts and High Courts for IP Litigation.
Drafting of pleadings, evidence, arguments, etc. in IP Litigation matters.
Creation of legal opinions for the clients after conducting in-depth research in the relevant database(s) relating to the various IP related queries.
Drafting, vetting, reviewing and negotiation of IP specific agreements.
Conducting a thorough research regarding the business model of clients (with respect to IP) and analysing the same in accordance with the business of pre-existing competitors in the market, to advise clients regarding how the apt use of IP can help them grow their business exponentially.
Work Experience and Skills:
Bachelors/ Masters in Law with atleast 10 years dedicated experience in IP in law/ IP firm
Experience of end to end handling of Intellectual Property matters
In-depth knowledge of Law
Candidates with book of business shall be preferred
Experience of international filings
Interest/ Knowledge/ Experience of Media and Technology laws shall be preferred
Proficient research skills and IT skills
Knowledge of legal research tools
Proficient drafting skills are must
Skill to research case-laws, facts and material facts till desired results met
Ability to take onus and end to end responsibility of matters and clients
Knack of keeping updated with latest case laws, amendments, government policies, etc.,
