OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
To handle Criminal and Consumer Pan India Litigation and legal affairs of the Company. Drafting/vetting of Police Complaints/FIRs, replies to legal notices. End to end Management of Litigation and Legal Notices. Drafting/vetting of replies to the Consumer Complaint. Provide legal opinion to Claims and other departments. Co-ordination with different departments to procure the case related facts/details etc. Follow up and co-ordination with Lawyers regarding status of cases.
Key Responsibilities
Weightage
Responsible for vetting/drafting of legal documents which includes;- replies of Consumer Complaint, Counter Affidavit, Appeal, Revision, Writ Petition etc.
Handling/supervision of the team for end to end Management of high value and Critical Criminal and Consumer matters, legal Notice and Advisory functions of the Company.
Assist the Admin, HR and other departments of the Company on legal issues and litigations. Liase with police Authorities and draft reply to Statutory Notices.
Sound knowledge of Handling Criminal cases, liaison with Police personnel/authorities.
Co-ordination and follow up with the advocates for effective representation on behalf of the Company in all cases. Updation of Next date of hearing of all the cases.
Undertaking legal research on relevant topics.
Preparation/monitoring of Legal MIS to use it as a control mechanism for monitoring of legal cases.
Incumbent will be required to travel for attending court case/FIR/Police Complaint etc.
Handle legal queries received from other departments of the organisation.

Educational Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
LL.B. / LL.M. from recognised institution.
Work Experience
8 yrs. + experience in criminal law
Certifications
Other skill set:
Sound legal understanding.
Good analytical ability
Good drafting and communication skills
